Cancer Rehab Programme from YMCA THAMES GATEWAY GROUP

YMCA Thames Gateway provides the only community-based 12-week programme for users of regular physical activity, specifically developed against the needs and ability of each individual by one of our qualified instructors. Our instructors are backed up by gym staff with the GP referral qualification, their Level 3 personal training and additional specialist fitness qualifications. This provides an effective step-down process for any referral not able to make the comparatively large jump to mainstream fitness.

Our instructors build a 12-week programme of activity that will have a positive effect on areas including but not limited to blood pressure, weight/BMI, cardio fitness, range of movement and strength.

Participants improve their confidence and fitness at one of the worst times of their life.

Let's make it a December to remember! from YMCA THAMES GATEWAY GROUP

Last year we were able to provide 2,259 presents to the most vulnerable and isolated members of our communities, thanks to the generosity of local people.

From our residents and those that attend our senior citizens or health groups, to families in need – we’re here to help but we can only do this with your support. Every donation will support people in your community.
